From the recording The Human Experience

This is another track where I had the honor of sharing an experience with a friend, Kenneth Thomas, co-writing and performing this song together. The song "In-between" refers to the crisis in the human experience when you are trying to discover your truth in the process of becoming who you are.

Lyrics

Grew up in a small town
Never thought I'd make it out
Suffocated by the silence
And it was far too loud
Scared to leave this place
In the corners of my mind
I think it's time to go now
I think it's time to grow now
But what if I don't know how?

Oh, where do I belong?
Nowhere feels like home
Stuck in between who I am
And who I want to be
Can I be free?

Finally got the courage
To pack up my bags and go
Leaving it behind me
Everything I've ever known
Different places, different faces
A brand new me
And though it's been exciting
My mind has been rewinding
Is this where I'm meant to be?

Oh, where do I belong?
Nowhere feels like home
Stuck in between who I am
And who I want to be
Can I be free?

Can you show me what leads to home
'Cause I'm lost, and I feel so alone
Seems no matter where I roam
The destinations' still unknown
Is there a way to know?
Is there a way to know?

Oh, where do I belong?
Nowhere feels like home
Stuck in between who I am
And who I want to be
Stuck in between who I am
And who I want to be
Stuck in between who I am
And who I want to be
Can I be me?
Can I be me?
